Mark DietelbachNovember 11 2010I am interested in skaeping to anyone with regards to security of where the AutoCAD data centre is located in the world. As a Canadian Government, we need to pay attention to the US Patriot Act with respect to where we have data hosted. Perhaps it isn't a concern in the case of these AutoCAD files but we need to have had that discussion.I have copied a couple files to the site and opened them on the iPad. I am not an AutoCAD user, but I see the potential value in the product getting documents to the people in the field in a manner that they can easily work with. Conceptually this works but if I have 15 users in the field that need to have access to the same files, how is that handled? It looks to me like a one to one relationship with the files and the account. Perhaps I am not seeing what I need to see. I have noticed that when I logon at my computer, it logs off the iPad. That then tells me that I can't have multiple people working off common documents. Example of potential use: We have AutoCAD drawings for each building that the City manages. These files are stored centrally, and currently they are accessed by field workers at City computers where they can find one at a facility. Not very optimized but it does work. If there are 15 of these field workers, we would have to copy the appropriate drawings to each separate user so they would be able to access them in the field . I see you can share the document with someone else but I don't see how that would resolve the scenario I am describing
